So, as a band we collectively have a tradition to eat at the same place every time we visit certain places. Here is a list of some / most of the places that we call ‘traditions’.
Broken Bow, Ne - Runza … for those of you not from Nebraska, a “Runza” is a glorified hot pocket. We stop at Runza every time we got to Rapid City, because our guitar players uncle owns it and he rules. Most Runza restaurants are pretty shitty, but this one is an exception.
Fargo, Nd - Spicy Pie …. well, we have a good friend that works at Spicy Pie that may or may not give us a shit ton of free food, but other than that… the food is cheap, plus you can get slices that are huge for like 2 bucks.
Milwaukee, WI - Pizza Shuttle … Fortunately we have a bunch of awesome friends in Milwaukee and we always seem to bring about 15 people and rage on the pizza shuttle. Thank you Pizza Shuttle for dealing with our shit.
Salina, KS - Kozy Inn… Kozy’s is a small burger place that’s been open for over 90 years. The reason we are into it is because the place just has character and the workers are always super friendly. Also, you’ll smell like onions regardless if you go inside, eat outside, take it home… so just deal with it.
Midland, TX - Whataburger … Well anywhere south for that matter, we love whataburger. It’s open late and it’s pretty solid. We always go with all of the dudes in Moving Forward and Nate from the pine box. Always is a good time.
Anywhere East Coast - Sheetz … I’d like to just say we’ve only been to the north east once and have been to Sheetz about 5-10 times. Good shit.
Here’s the start of the list. There’s a bunch more, but none of them are really important… Such as Cici’s every chance we get.. so we’ll just leave it at that. If anyone has any spot we should hit up, hit us up and we’re sooo down.
This October marks the 3rd year of us being a band.
With that being said, We are proud to announce that we are now a part of The Motherland Collective We have been fans of a bunch of their bands for quite awhile, so it is definitely an honor to be a part of something. Check out our friends that are also a part of the collective!

We Are The New Direction -
Me and several others in my area help run an all ages/DIY space called The New Direction in Fargo, ND. Many of my followers/friends on tumblr have been here and many of them see it as one of the best DIY venues in the midwest along with the whole country. We have heard it from many bands touring through and just friends from everywhere that this is their favorite venue and it is a venue made for touring bands by people that have had the opportunity to tour. But not just that is made for every that just wants to experience something different and amazing.
Check out the indiegogo and if you can help in anyway in trying to make my favorite venue better please do so, if you can’t at this time please, please, please do everyone in our community a great deed and reblog this and let them aware that there is a few people in a small city trying to keep something amazing going for their music and art scene.
Thank you for reading this or reblogging in advance, this place means the world to me.
This venue means the world to us. Help it out, keep it around. I would hate to see this place close down and it’s sweet to see them remodeling and making it such a clean and awesome DIY spot.
